Obama Appoints 2 Muslims to Homeland Security Post

I know this might be old news, but I think it’s still relevant especially since the Ft. Hood murders, so here it is:

Can you even believe this??

Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the henhouse. Tomorrow, the wolves will be herding the sheep!

Obama Appoints two devout Muslims to homeland security posts. Doesn’t this make you feel safer already?

 

Obama and Janet Napolitano Appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development Source for announcement: Homeland Security Press Room.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce that the DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). http://www.adc.org/ 

NOTE: Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? That should make our homeland much safer, huh!! Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, Jew or Protestant? Was it not men of the “Devout Muslim Faith” that flew planes into U.S. buildings not too long ago. What the heck is this president thinking?

Just wondering, doesn’t this make you feel safer already?

This announcement was made on Aug 20.  Why are we just now hearing about it? Thank you President Obama for your “transparency” on these two Presidential confirmations.

What’s a small company to do if required to offer health insurance? This is a question many small business owners are facing. The federal government is gearing up to tell the American business owner:

• When or how to form a union
• When to provide paid sick leave
• When to provide paid family medical leave and
• When to provide health care benefits

All of these issues are important – not only to the business owner but to the employees that they hire. There are really three perspectives that we need to look at:

1. The HR Perspective
2. The Business Perspective
3. The Government Perspective

Note: My friend owns a small business and finally after 8 years he will have his $80k/year note paid off. He has been drawing a very meager salary over that time and was looking forward to his hard work finally paying off. Now, with Obamacare looking more like a reality, he has calculated the cost to be $80k/year. Result: no net gain after busting his butt for 8 years! He will most likely shut down his company and look for a salaried job.

Bill Cosby for President 2012

Bill Cosby, one of our nations most entertaining comedian and actor, has a great way of “distilling” things. Looks like he’s done it again. I bet even Texas republicans would vote for him!

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN THE YEAR 2012.. HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1). Any use of the phrase: ‘Press 1 for English’ is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait outside of our borders until you can.

(2). We will immediately go into a two year isolationist attitude in order to straighten out the greedy big business posture in this country. America will allow NO imports, and we’ll do no exports. We will use the ‘Wal-Mart ‘s policy, ‘If we ain’t got it, you don’t need it.’ We’ll make it here and sell it here!

(3).. When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it coming in here.

(4). All retired military personnel will be required to man one of the many observation towers located on the southern border of the United States (six month tour). They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5). Social Security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn’t put nuttin in, you ain’t gettin nuttin out. Neither the President nor any other politician will be able to touch it.

(6). Welfare. — Checks will be handed out on Fridays, at the end of the 40 hour school week, the successful completion of a urinalysis test for drugs, and passing grades.

(7). Professional Athletes — Steroids? The FIRST time you check positive you’re banned from sports ….. for life.

(8). Crime – We will adopt the Turkish method, i.e., the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more ‘life sentences’. If convicted of murder, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for the victim you killed: gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9).. One export of ours will be allowed: wheat; because the world needs to eat. However, a bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10). All foreign aid, using American taxpayer money, will immediately cease and the saved money will help to pay off the national debt and, ultimately, lower taxes.. When disasters occur around the world, we’ll ask The American People if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision as to whether, or not, it’s a worthy cause.

(11). The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12). The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

My apology is offered if I’ve stepped on anyone’s toes ….. nevertheless……

Government vs. Market Oriented Heath Care

Getting Untangled – Freedom Politics

This is curious, in that most European countries, deemed the model by most Obama-oriented reformers, are moving toward more market-oriented policies just as the U.S. is moving toward the model they are finding too expensive and inefficient. Richard Saltman and Josep Figueras of the World Health Organization say, “The presumption of public primacy is being reassessed.” Pat Cox, former president of the European Parliament, said in a report to the European Commission, “We should start to explore the power of the market as a way of achieving much better value for the money.”

Alan Bock the Senior Editorial Writer for The Orange County Register goes on to say;

Economic theory and practice suggest that improving access to health care and moderating the costs can best be achieved not through centralized control but through competition. But how do we get there from here? It depends on how far you want to go.

Note: Talk to nearly anyone from a foreign country and they are quick to criticize their health care system and wish they could have access to the our US health care system. The GOP opposes this not because it is the opposing parties policy but because republicans have always been for competitive market-oriented policies and not big government “we-will-make-your-choices-for-you” policies.
